Nigeria and Nigerians

When I sit and look around me, I see a beautiful country. A country filled with riches and prosperity. Nigeria is a land of wealth. She entails of things that are perfect to make a developed country.
But it is so unfortunate that things don't always turn out to be the way we want. We all have goals and dreams but we need to work hard to achieve them.
We wish for a better Nigeria, but are we better Nigerians? think about it.
We judge our politicians and see the evils they do. Why don't we look in ward and take care of the skeleton in our own cupboards?

The good book says, Take care of the log in your eyes before you can remove the speck in your neighbours eye.

To have the Nigeria we dream of, Nigerians should work together as one and build this country. let's make development for ourselves. In respective of tribe and culture, in the eyes of our maker we are all one. We should stand together and make a better country.

Daily, we see drivers on the road quarrel with each other. An attitude like that would only cause deterioration in the country. Patience is the key to all. Yes, we all have our various destinations to get to but rushing and hastiness would never get us there. If two people struggle on the same road, how would they move on? Maturity says, one should be patient enough to let the other go then he follows.

People complain about these public tricycles (Keke Maruwa). It is known that they cause havoc on the road. We can put a stop to that. If they drive recklessly, don't struggle with them. Talk to them and let them see the wrong in what they are doing. Insults and Arguments will never get us anywhere.

Let us put heads together, build our ideas and create things that would cause growth to this country. Agriculture is a beautiful business in Nigeria. Only a few are into it. Most Nigerians are interested in getting Jobs in oil companies and the likes. NO!!.

We can be entrepreneurs of our own. A small land is never a waste. Start up your own plantation, begin to sell your products to the locals around you. Let us look around us. After all, it is impossible to stay a day without food in our stomachs come to think about a year. Agriculture will take us far and even we can begin to exports food products to other lacking countries

People say we lack job opportunities in this country. Must we work under someone or a firm to finally conclude that we have a job? Let's not be dogmatic about life. Nothing is to small to invest in.

Foreigners wish to have a constant taste of our African dishes, but only a few provide them. Let all the cooking hands rise up and build a catering environment. Let's build a catering society and let's people see the value that our hands carry.

Poultry, is another great business. Having a farm field with birds of different kinds and selling to different countries. Creating a processing plant, whereby, you sell frozen birds to different supermarkets and restaurants.

It's not all about becoming a doctor, lawyer, accountant and the likes. Our basic needs can become our wallets.

Carpentry, people may condemn this work, but believe me, in this century that we are heading to, you will never see anyone sit on the floor or sleep on the floor.

People always want to have the best of furniture and interior decorations. Create your own site, be your own designer. Come up with ideas that are yet to be in town.

No one can never stop wearing shoes, becoming a shoe designer is another great business. Make yourself different, stand out. Create and design shoes that will attract billionaires.

It's not all about oil and gas. There are many natural resources that God has blessed this country with.

Let's all sit back and think. Don't let the situation of the country determine your destiny.
